Honey, I Blew Up The Cards!

First and foremost, or the younger generation, there was a series of "Honey, I Blew Up/Shrunk The Kids" movies in the late 1980s to early 1990s.  With all the talk around the blogs in the past week about mini's, I wanted to go into the opposite end of the spectrum.  So lets get out our toy atomic beam gun, and zap a baseball card, then BAM...JUMBO!!!

In the mid 80s for some reason Topps and Donruss made jumbo baseball cards.  As far as I know it was a "jumbo" flop.  Later in the 90s and every now and then card companies made jumbo box topper cards, usually inside blaster boxes.  Again nothing super special.  Today when you think of a "jumbo" relic card you think of a regular sized card with a relic just a little bit bigger than normal. How about making a JUMBO card with a JUMBO relic?  In 2003, Fleer produced just that, a jumbo card with a jumbo relic.  The relic itself is about half the size of a regular sized card.  I picked these two jumbo cards up at a thrift store four years ago for $2.99 each.  With what I have seen around the internet, the values are around $5-10.  Not huge money makers, but they are pretty cool.  Now with all of the collectors who like mini's, would you ever think about collecting "jumbo" cards if they became popular like mini's have gotten?
